I have to celebrate with you because this month I’m featured in their incredible Menopause Special of Top Santé magazine with a 4-page article I wrote on Peri-Rage.
It’s a real pinch-me moment.
The emotional impact of perimenopause and how the Menopause journey and women’s health is not reserved to just a bikini, is an area I am very passionate about.
Maybe you have had moments recently when you snapped at your partner, kids, or colleagues out of nowhere and then thought, what just happened to me?
Hormone changes in perimenopause don’t just affect our cycles. They affect the female brain especially the areas linked to memory, mood and emotional regulation. Add fluctuating cortisol (our stress hormone), and suddenly the smallest things can tip us over the edge.
Not to mention symptoms that are annoying and peri arrives right when things become extra busy. Then there is a shift that takes place, something I will be writing about and talking about more in the future. That part of you that says things need to change.
When we have knowledge we have power and can tool up to support ourselves.
